The Gonads

The Gonads first formed in 1976 out of the remnants of Pink Tent, a seriously nutty group of teenage rock and Monty Python fans with situationist ideas above their station. We got together at school in Lee, South East London in 1970 and sstarted writing comedy sketches, then graduated into a sub-Dr Feelgood boogie band playing mate’s houses, parties and pubs. There were a few Gumbie-inspired street happenings outside the Tigers Head which are best forgotten.

They released two singles in this form, with Lindsay, sister of Mackie from Blitz, being the drummer. A new guitarist was recruited for their album before they split up in late 1983. Gary later turned up in a revamped Blitz and provided the vocals on their "Killing Dream" album. Gary and Lindsay married in 1985.

The Rabble

A three-piece punk band, based on the Hibiscus Coast of New Zealand, with heavy influences such as Rancid, The Unseen, Dropkick Murphys and The Casualties Formed by brothers Rupe and Chazz in the tedious summer of 2000 (aged 15 and 14) the 'aptly named' The Rabble wasted no time in getting out of the garage and onto the stage. Seven years and hundreds of live shows later, the band has undergone several line-up changes.

The Have Nots

A wise man once said that a good song should make you want to tap your feet and get with your girl, while a great song should make you want to smash the state and set fire to the suburbs. Have Nots is interested in writing great songs. Formed out of the ashes of Stray Bullets and Chicago Typewriter (two Boston punk mainstays), Have Nots is far from your typical ska band. This Boston based foursome stands out in a sea of horns and checkered hats, playing aggressive, rabble-rousing punk rock music, with just enough reggae/ska influence to remain catchy and danceable.

Swingin' Utters

Swingin' Utters is an American punk rock band that formed in the late 1980s. Having begun in Santa Cruz, California, the band moved to San Francisco where they are now based. They have been signed to Fat Wreck Chords since 1996. As well as being classed as a "punk revival" band (reminiscent of British 1970s bands such as Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, Sham 69 and Eddie & The Hot Rods), Swingin' Utters have increasingly shown themselves to be influenced by Irish folk, particularly The Pogues.
