Hawnay Troof
Hawnay Troof's story is one of great complexity. Left-field prodigy Vice Cooler, a gifted small-town reject, has redefined underground music with a strong work ethic, charm, and a smooth grace. From making humble tunes in his bedroom to inciting thousands internationally into a craze, Cooler has quickly turned into a well-respected "outsider" artist amongst his peers. This story starts with one of music's most unlikely debut moments.

Mutual Benefit
mutual benefit is the sound of everything making sense, if just for a second. It is the magic of ordinary moments. It is sound created and/or tastefully re-created by Jordan Lee as well as an ever rotating cast of ruffians and ne'er-do-wells Jordan is also proud owner of the tape label/collective kassette klub. The Coathangers
The Coathangers are a rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. They are: The Crook Kid Coathanger: Vocals, guitar, tamborine; Minnie Coathanger: Vocals, bass, tamborine; Rusty Coathanger: Vocals, drums; Bebe Coathanger: Vocals, keys. The band formed in 2006 as a joke, played a house show and were asked to open for The Hiss on the strength of their performance. The name was chosen for its vulgarity - an irreverent take on abortions - though all band members are pro-choice.
Led to Sea
Led to Sea is the solo project of Seattle-based violist Alex Guy. Guy's new album, "Into the Darkening Sky", is a beautiful collection of both orchestral compositions and stripped-down songs for viola, voice and drums. She's joined on the recording by some of Seattle's most talented musicians, including Jherek Bischoff (The Dead Science) on bass, Paul Kikuchi (Orkestar Zirconium) on drums and Lori Goldston (Black Cat Orchestra) on cello.
The Smittens
The Smittens are a five-piece indiepop band from Burlington , Vermont and a DIY twee pop explosion. Formed in 2002, The Smittens have been winning the hearts and minds of indiepop fans and discerning critics in the U.S. and abroad with an impressive and rapidly expanding catalog of fresh and fancy bubblegum-inspired revolutionary twee pop. Accomplished songsmiths all, the six Smittens--Max Andrucki, Colin Clary, Dana Kaplan, Holly Chagnon, David Zacharis--switch up instruments and song-writing to create brilliantly lyrical and hyper-catchy pop songs of all colors, shapes and sizes.
Thee Moths
Thee Moths are sometimes several, often one. Since forming in 2000 the band has expanded and contracted as needs dictated. Over the last few years Thee Moths has been Alex Botten and whoever he asks to help. The music is just as fractured as the line-up, with recordings and shows going from laptop glitching to acoustic folk as the mood takes. Over 8 years Thee Moths totalled 55 releases on a myriad of labels around the world. Put on ice in July 2008. Warming up again winter/spring 2009....
Colleen Green
Colleen Green always wears sunglasses onstage. Colleen Green is long hair and getting high. Colleen Green's first full-length for Hardly Art, Sock it to Me, is grounded in pure pop. Colleen Green's multi-tracked, emotive vocals take an enormous leap forward, evoking all-time heroes such as Rose Melberg and Tina Weymouth, with every drum-machine-tracked song awash in the dreamy slacker romanticism of California.
Summer Cats
Summer Cats are two girls and three boys from Melbourne, Australia. Like most people from Melbourne, they spend their time either: a) enjoying summer or b) waiting for summer to arrive. They play crash pop in an attempt to make you dance, so if you feel the urge...go right ahead! Musically they are somewhat of a cross between Stereolab and The Go-Betweens....or is that Talulah Gosh and The Left Banke?
