Django Bates

Django Bates (born October 2, 1960 in Beckenham, Kent, United Kingdom) is a composer and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist. He plays the piano, keyboards and the tenor horn. He is widely regarded as one the most creative musicians in the world. Bates rose to prominence in Loose Tubes, a jazz orchestra which was considered the UK's most exciting and inspirational groups in the 1980s. It played a key role in re-energising the British jazz scene.

Gregory Everett Proops (born October 3, 1959, in Phoenix, Arizona) is an American actor and stand-up comedian, and works largely in Europe as a comic and improviser. Raised in San Francisco, Proops studied improvisation and acting at San Francisco State University. After graduation, he joined an improv group with Mike McShane, which proved to be his ticket to stardom. Both Proops and McShane impressed producers Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, who put them on their show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

His stand-up routine is characterized by his eccentric appearance, falsetto voice, and surreal humor. Birdflesh started in October 1992 as a four piece band. One of the guitarplayers had to leave the band because it sounded like shit with two guitars. First demo was recorded in 1994 and the second was out in 1995. Did some shows in the hometown, rehearsed some, drank some beer and recorded the third demo, "Fishfucked", in 1997. The following years were pretty much the same. Did some shows, released some records and drank many beers. In September 1999 Birdflesh went on a Japan tour.
