Archdukes

Archdukes were formed on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland in 2010. Amidst some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and amongst the confusion that surrounds a tourist destination,
they began to write music inspired by the various records and soundtracks that had pervaded their formative years, noting the irony that their sound in no-way reflected their surroundings.
With an e.p. in the works, and a dynamic live show, who knows where they'll be next...

GIVERS

Lafayette, Louisiana, United States What do Givers give? It is an often overlooked, yet all too important question concerning these starry-eyed melodi-mystic rebels. They take hearts, this much is known. They certainly take away any restraint one may have had concerning revealing dance moves. They take time, they take care, they take naps, they STEAL attention... but what do they GIVE?! I stare intently between songs, through lasers, feathers, sweat, confetti, paint...

King Post Kitsch

Late last year (2009) under the King Post Kitsch moniker Charlie recorded and released a free eponymous digital EP which to his delight many people downloaded. Some friends joined him for the release of his second free EP, Monomaniac. More folks downloaded that one and some people wrote some nice things about it too. King Post Kitsch are now signed to Song, By Toad Records with whom they will release their debut album this year. A real analogue one you can hold and everything.

Art vs. Science

ART.vs.SCIENCE is a psychological experiment. Songs are crafted carefully according to principles abstracted from the study of human responses to music. Each show is a test of these responses and how they differ in comparison to the manipulation of certain musical elements. Upon complete and exhaustive analysis of the relationship between artistic tools (tempo, rhythm, vocal content, video-imagery and structure) and the human response, ART.vs.SCIENCE intends to publicise its findings.
