Jean-Guihen Queyras is a French cellist. He was born in Canada and moved with his parents to Algeria when he was 5. He then moved to France 3 years later. He is a professor at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart and artistic co-director of the Rencontres Musicales de Haute-Provence. He has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, including the complete cello suites of Benjamin Britten and Johann Sebastian Bach and his recordings have won such distinctions as Top CD - BBC Music Magazine, Diapason d'Or, CHOC du Monde de la Musique, 10 de Classica/Répertoire, and Editor's Choice from Gramophone.

In a time where musical originality and creativity is threatened by the winners of idol shows, where people's vision of the truth is skewed by so called "reality" television, where bad choreographers have taken over the world and where everyone is blinded by the lights of synthesis and pastiche, Doyle & The Fourfathers have arrived to inject a more organic approach to existing in the landscape they reside in.

Their influence can be felt in such bands as Xaal, Minimum Vital, Tiemko, and Änglagård. 1977's "Gialorgues" was recorded with the primary membership consisting of drummer André Fisichella, guitarist Frédéric l'Épée (who went on to play with Philharmonie), and keyboardist Didier Lustig.
