Basement

There are 2 basements known 1) Basement was created at the end of 1995 inspired by various American bands such as Jesus Lizard, Unsane, Fugazy, Cop shoot cop or Distorted Pony.
The band’s first EP entitled “Head on“ was recorded by Fred Norguet (Burning Heads, Portobello Bones, Ez3kiel…) and was released by Weird records/Tripsichord in March 1996.
This dark spellbinding hardcore record came to tease the successful Amphetamine Reptile company.

Overhead the name of four popular bands. One is a French alternative/indie band and the other is a progressive rock band from Finland. There was also a third band called Overhead from Portugal. Downfall was a and band from the Bay Area formed by Tim Armstrong, Matt Freeman, Dave Mello, Pat Mello, and Jason Hammon following the break-up of Operation Ivy in 1989 and pre-dating Armstrong's and Freeman's wider recognition in Rancid. Arnaud Rebotini

Producer and singer from Black Strobe, Arnaud Rebotini was raised on funk and disco by his father nevertheless he rebelled and formed death metal and noise grunge bands. In 2000 he released an album ‘Organique’ under the nick name Zend Avesta, which was an experimental pop project. As a classical buff, he also works for the GRM, a state institution (created by the veteran innovators Pierre Henry and Pierre Schaeffer devoted to contemporary music).

MC Solaar

MC Solaar is the stage name of francophone hip hop artist Claude M'Barali (born March 5, 1969). By far the most internationally popular French rapper, he was born in Dakar, Senegal to parents from Chad. The family moved to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, just outside Paris, when Solaar was six months old. He also spent time at the École Française du Caire (French School of Cairo) later on in life. One of MC Solaar's first claims to fame was the rap he did on a level one French language education tape: "Comment t'appelles-tu?".
