The Lovetones is led by Matthew J. Tow (acoustic & electric guitars / sitar / autoharp / vocals), formerly of Drop City, Colorsound and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, along with Matt Sigley (bass / keyboards / vocals) and Chris Cobb (drums / percussion). The Lovetones released their debut album, Be What You Want in 2002 through Bomp! Records, creating a palpable buzz amongst critics from the likes of Creem and Rolling Stone magazine. The latter hailed mainman Matthew J Tow's songwriting worthy of Ray Davies, Bowie, Lennon and McCartney: a bold statement, yet in his case, completely justified.
Oh! Gunquit are a North London based 4-piece band concocting spunky rumble bop trash since becoming neighbours in 2009. Tribal tom toms beat wildly and guitars twang, high-spirited vocals bawl and purr, and a seedy tenor sax wails for an extra slice of exotica. Songs about Tigers, Cherries, and Killers were recorded in the bands' cellar with Sam Bam Leadfoot on drums/vox Manchine guitar/vox, Dr Zoom on Sax and Wanda Slazzy on vocals & occasional trumpet. These Neo-surf garage rockers bring back the sex of the B-52's, The Cramps, with some Link Wray & ESG thrown in for good measure.

1.) Compelling Sydney two-piece, The Fumes burst onto the scene in 2004. The Fumes deliver multi-facetted stylistic raw blues tunes mashed with healthy rock riffs and snappy beats. Steve Merry (Vocals, Guitar) spent 12 months in the U.S where he took on some mentoring from Bob Brozman and an opportunity to immerse himself with many styles of music. It helped define and develop The Fumes. The Fumes complete with the addition of Joel Battersby, who had been drumming with members of The Beautiful Girls, proceeded to churn out an 8-track demo.
YIS are two brothers Simon Fazio (Vocals/Guitar/Synthesizer) and Andre Fazio (Drums/Bass/Drawing/Mystique) along with one non-blood relative; Bronwyn Liroudia-Rands (Bass/Charisma/Catering/Mediation). They formed in Melbourne, Australia in August 2009. Simon and Andre have been playing together in various bands for the past decade and fighting for the last two. Bron is a ex-chef who now studies physics and is has been described as "the only bass player who is capable of being the luke-warm water between our fire and ice".
J. Barreto - guitar, vocals
Zachary Veltheim - bass
Chad Voight - drums
This is a band that has set out to continue the legacy of the big names of rock'n'roll - Johnny Cash, the Cramps, Elvis, Bo Diddley, Hasil Adkins - setting to music stories of damned souls. Though not known for being an exciting country, they are indeed from Belgium, and they do indeed manage to whip up an atmosphere of wild debauchery at all their gigs. Their performances are hot and spicy, frequently involving nudity, alongside their stomping bluesy rock'n'roll tunes. You'll drink up their sound and the atmosphere to the last drop.
