THE SMEARS

1."Indiana riot-grrrls Smears cut two albums of supreme amateur rock and roll that exists only to shout what is wrong with life. Peppy hooks are maimed by a total lack of musical skills. Nonetheless Love Is Fer Suckers (Cargo, 1994) and Like Hell (Cargo, 1996) have the force of true teenage statements." -http://www.scaruffi.com/

2.Two words - loud and clear. The Smears combine elements of both old and new school punk and rock along with strong melodies and inescapable hooks.
