(We are) Performance. Crucially, we are not diamond wankers. We’re musicians. We met in Manchester three years ago. We wrote our album in Ancoats, East Manchester, in an old cotton mill. Out the window, the new Manchester got closer and closer to us. We watched as the reflective architecture, the penthouses and the sickly bars, began to surround us. We have played our instruments and we have made young sounds.

Constantly evolving, Glass Candy have travelled from bare bones stripped down disco rock to equal parts digital and analogue, to synthesizer/drum machine with a side of bass and live drums, to Italo Disco. Born in Portland in the late 90's, the current line up is Ida No on vocals and Johnny Jewel on synths, guitar, and production.

As many lucky teenagers from the late 80’s, Laurent Ash started as a bass player in a small High School band influenced by new-wave and pop music acts like Cabaret Voltaire, Frankie Goes To Hollywood or Simple Minds and discovered the art of sampling thru the first popular 8/16bits computers. Producing first for other artists in the early & mid 90’s, he joined the parisian label 20000ST in 2001 (which was responsible for the hit single of Demon “You Are My High”) to release one of his first hit singles “The Soul Of My Love …”...

Former Ghosts

Former Ghosts is a new synthpop project from Freddy Ruppert, formerly of This Song Is a Mess But So Am I. The band is also comprised of Xiu Xiu's Jamie Stewart and Zola Jesus' Nika Roza. Ruppert is the lead songwriter on this brutally gloomy, Joy Division-esque project. The title of the debut, Fleurs, is a reference to the white-flowered iris (Iris germanica). Bella Morte (Italian for " ") is a ic band that was formed in 1996 in Charlottesville, Virginia by Andy Deane and Gopal Metro. Their music incorporates elements of , , , , and . By combining s, s, emotive storytelling and unique guitar riffs, Bella Morte have developed a style that is solely their own, which is aided by the talents of Andy Deane, who studied for five years to strengthen his vocal capabilities.

Frank Chickens

Frank Chickens were an Anglo-Japanese group based in London, performing their quirky brand of pop from 1982 to 2001. The founder members were Kazuko Hohki and Kazumi Taguchi. Taguchi was later replaced by Atsuko Kamura and then Chika Nakagawa and others in the 1990s. Their best known song was We Are Ninja (Not Geisha), which they continued to perform at every gig. According to Discogs, their last release was a remix 12" of the song, We Are Ninja (2000).

Hugo Leclercq (born May 30, 1994), known by his stage name Madeon, is a self-described "electro-pop-house-whatever" producer from Nantes, France. Leclercq started composing music at the age of 11, and adopted a style under the name "Madeon" in 2010. In the fall of that year, at the age of just 16, he gained popularity for his award-winning remix of The Island by Pendulum which was praised by the likes of Skrillex and Pendulum front-man Rob Swire.
