Post punk

Postdata

There are two bands using the name Postdata, one is Canadian: These are my grandparents. They passed away two years ago and left me thirty or forty pieces of songs in a series of dreams, not Coleridge-esque opium dreams though unfortunately, just regular dreams. Kinda sad dreams. This is for them. This is their daughter, my mother. I call her mom though, not mother. This is for her. This is my father. Sometimes he feels left out. This is for you too dad. This is my stomach. This is me.

The New Verb

The New Verb is one lady from London, Imogen Goldie, writing and recording songs in her bedroom.
She is accompanied on stage by drummer + part-time polymorph Ian Kamran. She indulges in long hours immersed in her beloved digital 8 track recorder (aka her bedroom studio), fruity loops and warm baths where lyrics seem to come easier. She recorded her first tracks with the help of John Eacott (the hKippers) and has since then been taking it upon herself to record whatever the hell she feels like whenever the hell she feels like it.

Siiiii

Siiiii were born in early 1983 when singer Paul, then only 19, moved from his native East Anglia to Sheffield purely to be in the band, joining guitarist Mark, and bassist Ange. Taking their name from William Burroughs' "The Soft Machine" they gigged extensively during the early to mid 1980's and possibly hold the record for the amount of times they were nearly signed to record labels. Siiiii disbanded in 1986 and the members went their separate ways. Mark went on to play with the Anti-Group and Paul became involved in The Niceville Tampa (now Niceville) and then DVO in South Wales.

Peter Kernel

Peter Kernel is a swiss/canadian pop noise band. Founded in 2005 by Aris (guitar), Barbara (bass)
and Däwis (drums), the initial idea was to give
a voice to moving images. Their rehearsal room
enhances the desire to evade (musically speaking),
a filthy and dank attic of a fry house.
Highly influenced by experimental moviemaking
of the bass player Barbara (videomaker as well),
they begin to assemble tunes around the end
of November 2005.
