Drawing inspiration from a variety of metal and progressive artists, the band released "Hunted", their first EP, in August 2011, and are currently writing and recording new material for future releases, as well as performing live to an ever growing fanbase. Pain Penitentiary

Pain Penitentiary formed in 2004. They spent a year practising and preparing for gigs. Their sound can be described as a raw brutal mix between Death Metal and classic Black Metal. Initially they started as a four piece with Luvett, Jimi Redshaw, Joe Tong and Darren Von Cohan. However due to conflict of interest Joe and Darren later left. So during a brief period in 2005 Jamie from Mindbleed filled in on bass guitar. Their first CD was recorded on January the 3rd 2006 at the Brick Makers.

Thorns

There's more than one artist under this name:
1. Thorns (formed as Stigma Diabolicum, but changed name to Thorns after two years) is a Norwegian black metal band, masterminded by Blackthorn (Snorre W. Ruch - also in Mayhem and Satyricon). They made two highly influential demos in the early 90's, Grymyrk and Trøndertun, but have only released one full-length album, since the band was founded, in 1989.

Crest Of Darkness

Crest of Darkness is a norwegian black metal band formed by Ingvar Amlien in 1995. Amlien was at the time also playing in the norwegian heavy metal band Conception, and Crest Of Darkness remained a side project until Conceptions spilt-up (or "long break", as they claimed it to be) in 1997. The bands lyrically foundation is Amliens passion for sheer sonic brutality and devotion to the satanic ideology according to Anton LaVeys' Church Of Satan and the Satanic Bible. Some lyrics also show his belief in and admiration for vampirism.

Emperor

Emperor is an influential Norwegian band that represents a synth laden, progressive yet brutally aggressive and chaotic part of the genre, something quite different from the minimalism of other originators of the Norwegian sound (e.g. Darkthrone). The band was formed around the core members Samoth (Tomas Thormodsæter Haugen) and Ihsahn (Vegard Sverre Tveitan) of the band Thou Shalt Suffer and bass player Mortiis (Håvard Ellefsen) in Notodden, Norway, 1992.

There are five bands using this name: 1) A / one man band from Malta. Sauron composes all of the music for Apotheosis. Although the band was formed in autumn of 1993, it wasn't until 2002 that Sauron released a full length, the four track epic Farthest From The Sun. 2) A two piece band from Toledo, Ohio. Their first album, 'Husk', was self-released in 2011 and they are currently (9/12) completing their second release, 'Bane'.
