The Galipaygos

The Galipaygos are a six piece alt-country/Americana group based in Inverness, Scotland. Formed in 2003, the band has released three albums: Look no Heartbreak (2004), Trucker Chic (2005) and The Demise Of Gary Lip-Gloss. Their influences span the 1960s/1970s country rock of The Byrds, Bob Dylan, The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Band; and contemporary Americana acts like Ryan Adams, Calexico and Wilco.

Leon Rosselson

Leon Rosselson is a topical protest singer-songwriter from Britain. He's recorded literate left-wing ditties, character sketches, and polemics since the 1960s, when he was a regular on the humorous television news roundup That Was the Week That Was. Most songs consist of his voice, sometimes with one of a handful of regular accompanists, backed by guitar or piano. His lyrics are almost always clever, sometimes deeply cynical, and sometimes cloyingly idealistic.

Ewert and the Two Dragons

Ewert and The Two Dragons is a / band from Tallinn, Estonia. Their debut album “The Hills Behind The Hills” was released in autumn 2009 and since then they have taken the Baltics by storm. Some critics have titled them as “the crown jewel of Estonian music”, Finnish music magazine Rumba was stunned by their performance at the biggest Baltic music festival Positivus in 2010, calling them “the best band at the entire fest”.

Pearl and the Beard is three voices, one cello, one guitar, one glockenspiel, one melodica, several drums, one accordion, ninety-six teeth, and one soul. Former strangers Jocelyn Mackenzie, Emily Hope Price, and Jeremy Styles were united in the great city of New York. Each had migrated there from a far corner of the nation with naught but food in their pockets and money in their bellies. Each had the same true love. Since then, the three have nested, and their unique brand of brightly melodic songcraft continues to blossom of its own accord.

Kathleen Edwards

Kathleen Edwards (born July 11, 1978 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Her blend of country, folk and pop music made her a favourite of music critics, and a rising star on radio in 2003 with her debut album, Failer, made popular by her hit singles "Six O'Clock News" and "Hockey Skates" Her style of music is sometimes placed in the music genre "alt-country". In 1999, Edwards recorded a six-song EP entitled Building 55 and pressed 500 copies. By the fall of 2000, she was on tour across Canada managing her own gigs.

The Lorcas

The Lorcas exploded out of the South London music scene in 2007 and their reputation has grown steadily since. Part of the Folk @ The Moon and Easycome Acoustic Club circle, their deeply melodic songs have led to various festival and club appearances. Influenced by the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, & The Beatles, the Lorcas are Emily C Smith (vocals, guitar & harmonica) & Ruth Jacob (vocals & banjo). They share the songwriting duties and this helps to create their unique sound.
