Doom

Bad Boat

Northern Irish band Bad Boat has been playing their wreck of rock to appreciative audiences and putting out well-received original recordings since 2003. In their music, people say they have heard bands like Mastodon, Clutch, Melvins, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Cathedral, MC5, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. There are indeed a variety of styles celebrated in each song and a prevailing positivity in the progressive aspect of their growing soundscape. There are some straightforward rock anthems in a classic heavy 70’s sound with an underlying punk and metal edge.

Le Singe Blanc

A drum that beats, heats and sizzles. Two bass guitars, ...storming bass quitars! Ponctuated by splutters, gurgles and pure, unadulterated babble. The occasional musical mine planted here and there and great clouds of laughing gas. A saturday night with an endless supply of kung fu films and popcorn. Psychedelic wanderings and that elusive something that gets inside your head. Sixties pop tripping out and waking up with an industrial hangover. They themselves call it regressive rock. They are the three wild beasts that are Le Singe Blanc.

Men Eater

The super-group tag is thrown around much too often nowadays, but Men Eater definitely includes the cream of the crop of the current portuguese underground movement. The band shares musicians with well-known groups as For The Glory, Blacksunrise, Riding Pânico and Mushin, but it's so much more than your average side-project it almost hurts. The idea of getting it together was born in a pretty casual way though in the back of a van, while driving back home from a festival in Spain.

Every aspect of recording and art is self produced.

Ramesses

Bristling with malevolence, Ramesses’ crushing grooves induce a hypnotick lethargy: weighed down, beleaguered and enveloped by doom. While the percussion/guitar/bass/vokills set to work on your viscera, your head is forcibly plunged down the rabbit hole and drenched in heavy psychedelia.

Spawned in the bleak woodland of Dorset, England, this three-piece has been disfiguring the innards of its army of devoted listeners since 2003 when original Electric Wizard drummer Mark Greening and guitarist Tim Bagshaw hooked up with Adam Richardson (bass + vox)...
