Marc Copland

Born 27 May 1948, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, Copland was a part of the vibrant music scene in Philadelphia as a saxophonist before going to New York where he met John Abercrombie and also played with Chico Hamilton, and others. He experimented with the electric alto but gradually became dissatisfied with the direction his music was taking and, leaving New York, quit playing the sax in order to study piano.

Stone Parade

The voicemail is simple "Just past the laundromat then turn left, you'll hear us when you get there". Alex is a man of few words. Inside a poorly lit factory, behind walls of guitars, old paintings and broken amps I find drummer Billy Handley hanging out his washing and cleaning up dirty dishes which have been left on the sink against his wishes. Cadillac

There is have been several acts with this name: 1) a Norwegian rock band 2) a Spanish pop group 3) a Australian luxury vehicle 1) Legendary, catchy, melodic and slightly underestimated Norwegian rock-band, disbanded in 2005. Released three very different albums, all very well-played, well-produced and very well-written. Why Cadillac never gained the same recognition as many of their contemporaries remains a mystery, but it probably stems from internal struggles and a low touring-frequency.
