Vadim Repin

Vadim Repin (born Novosibirsk, Western Siberia, 31 August 1971) is a Russian violinist. In his youth Repin studied with Zakhar Bron and was revered throughout Russia as a child prodigy. At the age of 17, he became the youngest winner of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Brussels, the world's premier violin competition. Vadim Repin played under such leading conductors as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Pierre Boulez, Riccardo Chailly, Charles Dutoit, Michael Tilson Thomas, Valery Gergiev, James Levine, Kurt Masur, Sir Simon Rattle, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Mstislav Rostropovich.

Tokyo String Quartet

The Tokyo String Quartet (東京クヮルテット?) is an international string quartet.
The group formed in 1969 at the Juilliard School of Music. The founding members attended the Toho Gakuen School of Music[1] in Tokyo, where they studied with Professor Hideo Saito. Soon after its formation the Quartet won First Prizes at the Coleman Competition, the Munich Competition and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. This resulted in a recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon.

Julian Rachlin

Julian Rachlin is a Lithuanian-born violinist and violist. Rachlin, who is Jewish, was born in Vilnius on December 8, 1974 and immigrated in 1978 with his musician parents to Austria. In 1983, he entered the Vienna Conservatory and studied violin in the Soviet tradition with Boris Kuschnir, while also receiving private lessons from Pinchas Zukerman. His career as a child prodigy began with his first public concert in 1984.
