The name is a portmanteau of minimal (the musical style) and dialogue, which refers to music as a form of communication. Beside their music production as Minilogue, they are both involved in the projects Son Kite and Trimatic, and Sebastian has the soloprojects Kooler, Filur and Ooze. Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson came from opposing backgrounds.

Born and raised in Haarlem, The Netherlands, and a descendant of a Polish soldier, Olav Basoski (b. 14/10/1968). He started his career as a DJ at the age of 15. In 1987 he bought his first recording equipment and started to produce his own music. Olav made more than 100 records but not always under the name "Olav Basoski". He has used many pseudonyms including "Sil", "Yokiboys", "Samplitude" and "Pancake".
Pure Science
One of the most important characters of the techouse era, Phivos (Phil) Sebastiane aka Pure Science is not to be underestimated. He has an impressive background and his attachment to music began since he was a child, when he definitely fell in love with the synthesizers. Inspired by the legacy of the talented Depeche Mode, he was named The Scientist in the end of the eighties, nickname created by the Passion Crew due to his great potential and level of concentration.
