Crazy P

To trace the origins of Crazy P , aka Crazy Penis outside the UK, we have to go all the way back to 1996. This was the year that brought together James Baron and Chris Todd. It was the era of Ataris, Akais and bedroom studios and, through their love of bending and reshaping old records from many different genres, a production partnership was born in the backstreets of Nottingham. After a couple of releases under various different monikers, the work attracted the ears of legendary deep house label Paper Recordings based in Manchester and the creature that is Crazy P was born.

Lighthouses

If it wasn't for being exposed to Tom Vek, Metronomy and Bloc Party, Joe Boyle's fascination with blending electronic and guitar music may have never emerged but it wasn't until his long time friend Richard Williams heard Joe's experiments on myspace and asked if he'd thought about playing them live that Lighthouses was born. Within the next 6 months Lighthouses began shaping and crafting songs into a unique live experience that was unleashed to a supportive crowd of friends and indifferent 40 year olds trying to enjoy a business lunch just a few months later.

Einzelkind

Einzelkind's Arno Völker was indeed a lone child when he released drop74 on the first Body Language Compilation and he was happy. But within time loneliness weighed too heavy so, remembering the great times both had as partners in the drum'n'bass world, he had to lure out his long time socio Miguel Ayala, who was living an undercover existence as father and student. The bait was simple; chocolate and beer, but it had such a profound impact that the result just had to be great.
