There is more than one artist called Quartz. 1) Quartz came out of the British hard rock hotbed of Birmingham to join the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement in the late '70s. With a lineup that included John Bonham-associate Mike Hopkins and future Black Sabbath keyboardist Geoff Nichols, they were actually founded under the name Bandylegs but changed when Jet Records showed interest in the band.
UK Heavy Metal band, formed in 1979 by Ian Dick, the original Soldier line up were Ian Dick (Guitar), Al Cannam (Guitar), Ram Tiwary (Bass), Steve Garner (Drums) and Garry Phillips (Vocals). Garry joined the band on the eve of the recording session that included the version of Silver Screen Teaser that appeared in many early Sounds Heavy Metal charts. This line up gigged mostly around the Midlands, however it was not long before the first of several personnel changes took place.

1. The original band named Stormchild is a NWOBHM band formed in Bolton in 1979 and won a national UK rock talent search in 1981. They signed to Kilo records and released a single in 1982. They split in 1983.
Their single Rockin steady is the highest valued single of the Genre with a copy selling in 2009 for 2,300 pounds sterling on ebay.
A compilation called Maiden Voyage was released in February 2012 by High Roller Records featuring tracks from their recordings with Kilo records in the 1980's from Riverside studios and Jamm studios..
1. Young Blood is a nwobhm band formed in 1983 in Darlington, UK. They released a self-titled EP in 1984 on Lanslide records. It was their only official release. The bad has apparently re-united in the 2000's though as of yet, no fficial meterials have been released. There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Turbo is a polish metal band. It was started in January 1980 by Henryk Tomczak (formerly in Stress and Heam, both pioneering polish hard rock groups). The first line-up were formed by Wojciech Hoffmann – guitar, Wojciech Anioła – drums and Wojciech Sowula – vocals. Soon a single was released, the tracks being W środku tej nocy (Deep in the Night) and Byłem z tobą tyle lat (So many years with you).
NWOBHM from Sunderland, UK. Released a couple of albums in the early 80's. Formed in 1980, their first official release came in the form of a split album entitled Pure Overkill, with four other NWOBHM bands, released in 1983. Steel 'n Chains was also released in 1983, followed by the eponymous Spartan Warrior full-length on 1984.
There are at least 3 artists known under this name: 1) Fist (originally called Axe) was one of several early NWOBHM bands who were signed to MCA records at about the same time (others in this group were Quartz, Tygers Of Pan Tang, and White Spirit). Their sound wasn't too different from their contemporaries, with the exception being they had a slightly more melodic feel to their songs. Two albums were released, and like many other NWOBHM bands, they faded away soon after, disbanding in 1984.
I remember seeing jameson Raid many times at "The Greyhound" in Chadwell Heath, Essex on a Thurdsay night. Don't remember too much about them but they must have been good as I kept going back :) the only song I can remember is "It's a crime" - accompanied by sirens and blue flashing lights. ************************** Jameson Raid (1976 to 1982) were a fantastic live band playing really original Hard Rock music. They were later associated with the NWOBHM movement and produced one of the very best tracks from this era 'Seven Days Of Splendour'.
There are three artists with the name Savage: 1) 80's Italian disco singer Savage 2) a New Zealand rapper, and 3) New Wave Of British Heavy Metal band Savage 4) Hungarian Dj Savage 1) SAVAGE is an artistic pseudonym of Roberto Zanetti (born in 1956) - the composer, vocalist, producer and also businessman all in one person. His debut on the artistic scene took place in the end of '70s. when he was part of the group called Santarosa (one of the most famous track by this group was "Souvenir"). From the early '80s he decided to pursue his solo career.
Omen searcher is a english (derby) band formed in 1980, also a part of NWOBHM. this is personally one of my favourite NWOBHM band. They released only one demo in 1981 n single "Too Much" in 1982.
