TG Collective
The critically acclaimed TG Collective was born in September 2006, bringing together a spirited brew of young, Birmingham-based performers. Based around the much-admired Trio Gitano, this dynamic young ensemble was founded by Jamie Fekete and Sam Slater - two of the three guitars of Trio Gitano, whose debut album Who Ate All The Tapas? dropped in at No.4 in the Sunday Times' Records of the Year.

Not content with either the often self indulgent face of modern jazz or mundane, uninspiring indie/rock band clones, but a lover of that 50's swing sound, grungy guitar riffs, Trip-Hop/Hip-Hop beats, latin flavours, spontaneous musicality and 'proper songs', Steve Spall (Guitar/Vocals) began creating as THE VIOLET JIVE.
Buena Vista Social Club
The Buena Vista Social Club was the name of a members-only music club in Havana, Cuba that was at its height during the 1940s. In the late 1990s Wim Wenders made a movie upon the initiative of Ry Cooder called "The Buena Vista Social Club." Wenders film centered on Ry Cooder's efforts to find and reunite some of the musicians who had performed at the long closed club. The film also portrays sessions from the production of the album released in 1997 also titled Buena Vista Social Club. Both movie and album were highly successful, and expanded the reach of Cuban music around the world.

Marcos Kostenbader Valle (born September 14, 1943 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and record producer. His work has found success across many musical styles both within Brazil and in the rest of the world, including bossa nova, samba, incidental music for drama, and fusions of American/European rock and dance music with Brazilian styles. His brother is Paulo Sergio Valle, with whom he composed many songs. From the younger Bossa Nova generation, as well as Bebel Gilberto and others, made a large part of his career abroad.
