Matteah Baim

Matteah Baim is a folk musician from New York, United States. She began writing music with Sierra Casady in 2005 for Metallic Falcons. After the band disbanded, she continued with a solo career in 2006, releasing her first solo album Death of the Sun in 2007. Matteah's music is described as disparate, haunted folk that roll over your senses like desert clouds. With the help of a few friends Jana Hunter, Devendra Banhart, and Rob Doran she has taken her palate of lonesome inky textures and blown it dry with a wanderer's spirit.

Morgan Geist

This New Jersey native was initially inspired by England's take on the sound of Detroit, but eventually tracked techno back to its Motor City innovators. Geist released his first 12" (via Dan Curtin's innovative Metamorphic label) while studying at Oberlin College in 1994.

Cassian

It’s been a year since Cassian’s last EP. And where has the kid with that haircut been? He’s been in the busy, that’s where he’s been. The lead single ‘I Like What You’re Doing’ has already been premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Jaymo & Andy George as part of their “Picks of 2011” show. It takes on the form of a powerhouse party psalm. Charged by an ever-familiar bassline and anthemic vocal performed by a shadowy, old-school Australian music identity. It’s turned into an 80’s fire-funk workout by Lorenz Rhode on his ‘Dangerous Mix’ and a filtered robo-haus jammer in his ‘Rhythm composer mix’.
