Graveworm

Originating from Bruneck, Italy, Graveworm are a melodic/symphonic black metal band with influence of gothic metal. They were formed in 1997, and are themed towards sadness, death, love and occult. Even before Graveworm released any demo they got signed by Serenades Records, who saw an incredible show of the band close to their hometown Brunico. A demo was produced straight after, featuring classic hymns like "Eternal Winds" or "When The Sky Turns Black", which were featured on their debut album "When Daylight’s Gone".

Emptiness

There are multiple artists with this name:
1) Emptiness is a death metal band from Belgium. They formed in 1998 by Nerath Daemon (Lead Guitar/Vocals, ex-Enthroned) and Phorgath (Lead Vocals/Bass, also in Hybrid Viscery and Sons of Jonathas). They then were joined by Naerguth (Rhythm Guitar, also in Excavated) and Drummer Khapth to start their unique take on Death Metal. The style is more astropheric than usual death metal, a moody riff sense with melodic harmonies and fast drumming with a solid pattern beat.

Nightmare Visions

UK Death Metal band, formed in 1983 by vocalist / guitarist Andy Barnard, who was a member of Electro Hippies and Metal Duck. Although active for 25 years, the band has only released 3 albums and 1 EP, however they are a highly regarded underground act, and have toured with numerous bands, including Master, Paradise Lost, Benediction and Carcass.

Crest Of Darkness

Crest of Darkness is a norwegian black metal band formed by Ingvar Amlien in 1995. Amlien was at the time also playing in the norwegian heavy metal band Conception, and Crest Of Darkness remained a side project until Conceptions spilt-up (or "long break", as they claimed it to be) in 1997. The bands lyrically foundation is Amliens passion for sheer sonic brutality and devotion to the satanic ideology according to Anton LaVeys' Church Of Satan and the Satanic Bible. Some lyrics also show his belief in and admiration for vampirism.
