Jimmy Buffett (born December 25, 1946 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States) is a singer/songwriter, best known for his "island escapism" lifestyle and music including hits such as "Margaritaville" and "Come Monday". He has a rabid, but genial, cult following known as "Parrotheads." They call the youngest members "Parakeets." Buffett has written three No. 1 best sellers. Tales from Margaritaville and Where Is Joe Merchant? both spent over seven months on the New York Times Best Seller fiction list.

Big Sugar
Big Sugar is a blues rock band from Toronto, Canada. They were active from 1991 to 2004 and again since April 2010. The band has sold more than half a million albums in Canada. With its successful 2011 release of “Revolution Per Minute”, BIG SUGAR announced that they were not merely content to rest on their considerable laurels of past hits. The Dub Factory
Upon hearing his voice you would expect a dread lock rasta from Kingston, Jamaica but in fact he is an 'Asian from an Eastern Land'. Parvez, known as, "The Dub Factory" was born in Birmingham (UK), with his roots in Pakistan.
"As an Asian living in a multi-cultural area of Leicester I had a variety of influences as a youth. Reggae was the main music at that time. The big basslines echoed off the walls day and night and just became part of my life".

Headjam
South London based 4 piece - Headjam play an original and individual mix of frantic dub beats spliced with metal/punk and anything else that comes to mind. We've always found it hard to describe our sound so if anyone else knows what it is - answers on a postcard please :-) Given the choice we would be out playing the festivals, but since the demise of the exodus festies (which for a while rekindled the authentic free festy vibe) we've spent most of our time playing the London party scene with the likes of PAIN and IT and the inimitable Reknaw system.

Overproof Soundsystem
The Overproof Sound system started its life in 1998 as a monthly reggae night called "Overproof" held at the Medicine bar in Birmingham, England. The night was started by Different Drummer’s Richard Wittingham (Rockers Hi Fi) Adam Regan (Leftfoot) and Birmingham’s dub duo G.Corp. Since the seventies, reggae music in Birmingham had become ghettoized, pushed out of city venues into illegal parties and split into genres. With violence on the increase it was only the brave that would get to hear it.
