Starz

There are two groups named Starz: This is the rock band from the late 70's early 80's Starz are a hard rock/ pop metal band who were popular in the late 70s. Fronted by handsome and sleazy crooner Michael Lee Smith, they had several minor radio hits. They had a big influence on many of the 1980's hair/ rock bands. Motley Crue and Poison were just two that site Starz as an early influence on their sound, song writing and musical passions.

Alvin Stardust

Alvin Stardust (born Bernard William Jewry, 27 September 1942, Muswell Hill, North London) is an English pop singer and stage actor. Moving to Mansfield, Nottinghamshire at a young age, he made his stage debut in pantomime at the age of four. In the early 1960s he became known as Shane Fenton, and with his backing group, The Fentones, had a handful of hits in the UK singles chart. His band based their sound on that of The Shadows. He also appeared in Billy Fury's movie, Play It Cool.

They are widely regarded as a glam rock band, but the members disputed this and saw themselves as a classic hard-rock band. Their highly retro style of music was influenced by rock bands like Queen, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Sparks, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, T. Rex, Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy.

FireHouse is an American band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1989. The band reached stardom during the early 1990s with hit singles like "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "All She Wrote", as well as their signature ballads "I Live My Life for You", "Love of a Lifetime", and "When I Look Into Your Eyes". At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock New Artist; chosen over Nirvana and Alice in Chains.

Scissor Sisters

Scissor Sisters are a five-piece American glam pop/disco band from New York. The band was formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Jake Shears (born Jason Sellards) and keyboardist/bass guitarist Babydaddy (born Scott Hoffman). The other members are Ana Matronic (born Ana Lynch), lead vocals, Del Marquis (born Derek Gruen), guitar, and Randy Real, drums - who replaced Paddy Boom after he parted from the band in 2008. The group was named after a sex position between two women. The lyrics of their songs, largely written by Shears and Babydaddy, are known for their mixture of wit and tragedy.
