Earl Brutus

Earl Brutus were a band formed by World of Twist's Gordon King and had some minor hits including "The SAS And The Glam That Goes With It" and "Come Taste My Mind". Earl Brutus played their last gig at Hammersmith Working Men's Club in April 2004. Supported by a very drunk Frank Sidebottom (you had to be there) - they played a blinding set to the Strong Devoted. Lead singer Nick Sanderson died on June 8 2008. The world is a much more boring place since his death.

Brother Firetribe

The album title ‘False Metal’ comes from a slogan coined by heavy metal group Manowar, ‘Death to False Metal’.

Hell City Glamours

These sexy show ponies, originally from Sydney's Northern beaches hit the scene in 2003 and rightly re-introduced loud arrogant party rock into a lack lustre and piss poor excuse for a music scene in Australia. Wizzard

There are two bands under this name. Wizzard was Roy Wood’s post-ELO project. They made catchy glam-rock hit singles like "Angel Fingers" and "See My Baby Jive" with a retro, Phil Spector-style "wall of sound" production. At the same time, they produced decidedly odd, almost avant-garde albums like Wizzard Brew. Wizzard were active from roughly 1972-1975. One of them is a 'blackened' heavy metal band from Finland.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam (1)
Amsterdam were formed on Merseyside in 1999 and promptly stayed there - mainly because they didn't really have any band members or any songs - but Ian Prowse had to tell his friends in the pub he had a new band going. A few gigs were played with various band line-ups and to stunning indifference, but all this changed in 2000 when the arrival of Ian's best-ever songs rescued him from the pub and they immediately won an NME competition to find the best-unsigned band of 2000. Next up the band were one of the winners at the prestigious music biz event In the City.
