Suzi Quatro (born Susan Kay Quatrocchio, June 3, 1950, Detroit, Michigan) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, radio personality and actress. Suzi grew up in the States, experiencing the rock 'n' roll revolution as it happened. She became an icon of the 70's glam rock era with her tough girl image that went on to influence other female acts that arose in her wake, including The Runaways and L7.
Autograph was an American glam metal band from Los Angeles, California. Initially active from 1983 to 1989, the band was reformed by their founder Steve Plunkett in 2002 for a single album, and is now currently inactive. They're best known for their 1984 hit "Turn On The Radio", with a music video that was a regular staple on MTV. They formed in 1983 with vocalist/guitarist Steve Plunkett joining up with guitarist Steve Lynch, bassist Randy Rand, keyboard player Steven Isham, and drummer Keni Richards.
Dexys Midnight Runners - the name consistently spelled without an apostrophe - were a British post-punk and northern soul band who achieved their major success in the early to mid 1980s. The word "Dexys" in this case, comes from a colloquialism of "dextroamphetamine" or "purple hearts," a type of amphetamine diet pill that was a popular "upper" drug with England's Northern Soul scene in the 1960s.

There are more than one act with this name: 1) Faces were an early 1970s rock band formed in 1969 from the remaining members of Small Faces after Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie; new members Ron Wood (guitar) and Rod Stewart (vocals) (both from The Jeff Beck Group) joined Ronnie Lane (bass), Ian McLagan (keyboards) and Kenny Jones, (drums). The name "the Faces" refers to well known people about town, and the band's previous incarnation as the Small Faces also referred to the diminutive stature of the band members.
The Heavy Metal Kids were formed in 1973 by the merger of two previous bands: Heaven and Biggles. They took their name from a gang of street kids featured in a novel by legendary beat generation writer William Burroughs. Slade is a glam / hard rock group from Wolverhampton, England in the West Midlands they were formed in 1966 by Noddy Holder (Lead vocal & Rhythm Guitar), Dave Hill (Lead guitar), Jim Lea (Bass) and Don Powell (Drums). The group started out as the N'Betweens and were mainly a R&B act. They changed their name to Ambrose Slade and later shortened it to just Slade. In the late 60's they hooked up with manager Chas Chandler who proved to be the missing link, convincing the group to use the heavier rock style with clapping hands and stamping feet which they had success with live.
Deaf School formed in 1976 as an Art Rock Band. The members all students at Liverpool Art School, based in the Hannerman Building, a former ear, nose and throat hospital that treated amongst other ailments hearing problems. Hence the band name Deaf School.
