Extreme Noise Terror

Extreme Noise Terror, once praised as a crust punk/grindcore band, then known as a death metal/grindcore band, and now again returned to the roots, are from Ipswich, England. Formed in 1985, they are one of the key early UK grindcore bands and are still together today with vocalists Dean Jones and Phil Vane as the only original members. Notable for their use of dual vocalists and for recording a number of sessions for BBC Radio 1 DJ John peel, Extreme Noise Terror (often abbreviated to ENT) initially started as a hardcore punk band.

Dr. Acula

Dr. Acula is a grindcore band from Long Island, New York. The band's name comes from a joke written by stand-up comedian Mitch Hedberg. All of their songs are named after books in R.L. Stine's GOOSEBUMPS series. Dr. Acula formed in September 2005 and quickly accumulated a following thanks to non-stop DIY touring, energetic performances, and not taking themselves too seriously. They self-released their first recording, the Chillogy EP, in 2006.

Bolt Thrower

One of Britain's most consistent and enduring death metal bands, Coventry's Bolt Thrower has weathered the best and worst of times in the genre's history without giving in to commercial temptations or altering its sound. The fact that they were unusually blessed with a steady lineup throughout much of their career contributed to this stability, and though they were rarely bestowed much praise for their efforts, Bolt Thrower gradually established itself as one of the best death metal bands ever to emerge from England.

Today Is the Day

Today Is The Day is an experimental rock/metal band founded by Steve Austin and Brad Elrod. The band saw its beginnings take root in Nashville, Tennessee in the early 1990s when Today Is The Day released their debut EP, entitled How To Win Friends And Influence People, in 1992. This self-financed release garnered the attention of Amphetamine Reptile Records (AmRep) who signed the band (at this time consisting of Austin on vocals and guitar, Brad Elrod on drums and percussion, and Mike Herrell on bass) in February 1993 and released the full-length Supernova later that year.
