Bands I have seen live

Skinflint

Skinflint formed in 1998, and after a few lineup and directional changes began to make a name for themselves on the pub covers circuit in 1999. After tightening up their act and gaining valuable live experience the band started working their own material into their covers set, which was often recieved better than their cover versions. Over 2001 and 2002 the band underwent several recording sessions at various studios, the results of which were compiled onto what became known as the 'untitled Skinflint EP' which sold very well at gigs.

The idea behind the Dead Formats mantle is to experiment with formats, tools, sounds and noise often discarded by our fast moving society, to create pieces that, whilst retaining a musical and melodic value, are often made up from the imperfections and constraints of older, 'inferior', recording formats.
