Icon of Coil

In 1997 Andy LaPlegua established the project, "Icon of Coil", which was primarily a concept built around a logo, graphic design and music. Soon after the inception, the music turned out to be the most important part of the concept and LaPlegua invited Sebastian R. komor, who he had worked with before on the project "Sector 9", (now called "Moonitor") in 1996, to work with him on the project as a live member. After just a couple of gigs and the release of IoC’s first single, "Shallow Nation", Seb became a full-time member.

Sheep on Drugs

Formed by Duncan X and Lee Fraser in response to the so-called 'Second Summer Of Love' , Sheep On Drugs set out to simultaneously mock and revel in the excesses of pop culture. Blending a mixture of sleazy rock, hard techno and punk nihilism into their own peculiar cabaret act of a rock'n'roll band, they set out on tour with buckets of blood, syringes and a pulpit from which Duncan could rant at Punter (as they termed the audience), who lapped it up with a knowing postmodern acceptance of their own commodification.

Mesh

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Mesh are a synthpop/ebm group, hailing from Bristol, UK consisting of Mark Hockings and Richard Silverthorn. Neil Taylor was in Mesh from their conception in 1993 until 2005. Their music is described by their official website as "somewhere between synthpop and EBM". Mesh were discovered largely as a result of Future Music releasing their first three demo songs on a compilation.

FGFC820

Formed in 2004, FGFC820 is the hard EBM project from well-known and respected New York City DJs Rexx Arkana and Dräcos. Drawing on joint and separate influences ranging from old school industrial to modern gabber, Arkana and Dräcos combine to create a sound that is at once melodic and relentlessly rhythmic. Their debut EP, "The Hanging Garden," was released in 2005. They have also contributed tracks to several "Endzeit Bunkertracks" samplers (alfa-matrix), "A Tribute to The Cure" (Equinoxe)...

Front 242

"Front 242" is a pioneering Belgian electronic body music group that came into prominence during the 1980s. For years to come they took the lead in electronic music composition. During their most active period (they decided to quit ebm in 1993 with the albums "06:21:03:11 UP EVIL" and "05:22:09:12 Off") they were influential to many electro-industrial and electronic artists.
History
The origin of "Front 242" should be understood within the rise of industrial music, which originated in England in 1975 with the first performances of "Cabaret Voltaire" and "Throbbing Gristle".

Aaak

aaak (As Able As Kane) are an electronic/industrial/EBM band from Manchester, England. They released 2 albums, Buildingscape Beat in 1989 and Big Fist in 1990. They disbanded in 1992 and reformed in 2009.

There are several artists with this name: 1. A Dutch indie band from Eindhoven/Horst. Momentarily they are in rest. The band made it through to the European finals of one of the biggest bandcontests in de world. Leadsinger Aran Jeurissen nowadays performs solo as Songs Of Aran. 2. A UK based, socially conscious downtempo group fronted by musician and social activist Seth Mowshowitz – himself of Canadian, American and Dutch origin. Funker Vogt

When "Funker Vogt" was founded in 1995 by Gerrit Thomas and Jens Kästel, nobody could foresee that, within just one year, it would grow into one of the leading electro-acts of today. Originally, it had been envisaged as just one more of Gerrit Thomas's many musical projects; however, the project took the world by storm and grew to become his main act. The members consist of Gerrit Thomas, Jens Kästel, Björn Böttcher, Frank Schweigert (who replaced Thomas Kroll in 2004), and Kai Schmidt. They all hail from the town of Hameln, Germany.
