Grace Petrie
Grace Petrie comes from Leicester in the East Midlands, but can often be found further afield, particularly, recently, around the Nether Edge area of Sheffield. She writes indie folk rock songs (a couple with an acoustic punk twist), plays the guitar and sings with a voice that has been described by listeners as similar to Laura Marling, Kate Nash and nothing you’ve ever heard before. From the humble beginnings of small gigs in her hometown in 2006 and a home-recorded debut album, Grace quickly acquired a reputation as one of the best artists on the flourishing Leicester music scene...
Yeah Yeah Noh
Yeah Yeah Noh were a post-punk group formed in Leicester, England in 1984. They released two albums and five singles while still together, and have had two compilation albums issued since they split in 1986. The group reformed in 2011, an announcement appearing on the Cherry Red Records website: "STOP PRESS: Yeah Yeah Noh are back together and are playing live as of summer 2012, on the lookout for 'interesting gigs in fields; gardens with expansive lawns considered'."
The Portlands
The Portlands' Bio The Portlands formed in 2009 in the north-west of England, Manchester, and have toured the world with their distinct brand of Folk Rock 'N' Roll. After sharing studio time with Elbow only three months into their formation at Blueprint Studios, they went on to play some of the most prestigious venues in the country on their first UK Tour, and finished with a 15,000 capacity crowd festival date at the end of summer 2010.
Blowzabella
Blowzabella produce an inimitable, driving drone-based sound played with a fabulous sense of melody, rhythmic expertise and sheer feeling. Originally formed in 1978 they have played everywhere from the main stage at Glastonbury Festival to the outer reaches of Brazil and West Africa and innumerable places in between. They compose their own music which is influenced by British and European traditional dance music. Many bands across Europe who experiment with the boundaries of folk music cite Blowzabella as a major influence.

Kate Bush (born Catherine Bush on 30 July 1958 in Bexleyheath, Kent, England, now part of Greater London) is an English singer and songwriter known for her expressive four-octave soprano voice, idiosyncratic and literary lyrics, and eclectic and meticulous musical and production style. She debuted in 1978 with the surprise hit "Wuthering Heights", which was number one in the British music charts for four weeks.

Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong were an alternative rock band from London, England which formed in 2006. They consist of Joe Lean (vocals), Panda (bass), Tom Dougall (guitar), Dom O'Dare (guitar) and Bummer Jong (drums). Joe Lean formerly drummed for The Pipettes backing group The Cassette and Tom Dougall is the brother of former Pipettes vocalist/keyboardist Rose Elinor Dougall. Petula Clark
Petula Clark, CBE (born November 15, 1932), is an English singer, actress and composer, best known for her upbeat popular international hits of the 1960s. With nearly 70 million recordings sold worldwide, she is the most successful English solo female recording artist to date. Perhaps best known for her massive hit 'Downtown' and whilst being English, Petula's work was heavily French-influenced.In the 1950s, she later was to branch out to become a major success in much of Europe. That success was followed by success in Scandinavia and also in Canada and Australia.
