Insanity
Formed in 1985, Bay Area band Insanity were instrumental in metal's evolution from thrash to death metal. Drummer Bud Mills was a big reason why, as his so-called "1-1" beat presaged the modern blastbeat. The band's sound more than lived up to its name. Not only did it crank thrash up to frenzied warp speeds, it also displayed chops well ahead of its time. Insanity were legendary worldwide in the '80s metal tape trading circuit, with members of Carcass and Napalm Death citing them as an influence.
Witchhammer
There are many acts called Witchhammer: 1. A Thrash Metal band from Brazil, active since 1986 with four full length albums under their belt.
2. Speed/Power/Thrash Metal group from Norway, formed in 1986 as well.
3. A Black Metal band from Ireland with one demo 'Neo Nazarene'.
4. A Heavy Metal one from Germany; created in 2000 and since releasing 2003's Raise Hell has been inactive.
5. Poland has a Black/Thrash Metal act that released a single demo 'Raped Reality' in 1999.
Curumin
Curumin is a Brazilian musician. His style is sometimes called samba-funk, and it incorporates many jazz, bossa nova, and hip hop elements as well. Both his albums, Achados e Perdidos and Japanpopshow were released by ybmusic.
Slander
Slander was formed in 1990, following a last minute request from the Blackpool Gazette to make up the numbers for a local Rock Battle. Andy Saxon - Lamb and Steve Slater were given 24 hours notice to recruit musicians and rehearse their set. After rehearsing through most of the previous night, they hammered out a thirty minute set to an unsuspecting crowd. From the positive audience reaction it was clear that their brand of heavy metal was a winning formula. In late 1990 Slander’s "Fighting Talk" appeared on Radio 1’s Friday Rock Show’s "Rock Wars".

Joyce (b. Joycé Silveira Palhano de Jesus, 31 Jan 1948, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), is a singer-songwriter, guitarist & arranger. Since her late-60s premier, she has recorded over twenty solo albums & appeared on many records (e.g. with Elis Regina, Toninho Horta, Vinicius de Moraes & Yoko Kanno). In recent years, she has collaborated extensively with João Donato. Much of Joyce's work has been compared to the early boom of the jazz fusion scene, in the USA.
Putrefaction
Putrefaction was a side project of Grave sometimes around 1989. But the songs were shortly after integrated in the Grave set and so the project was ended. (Copied from Metal Archives) Putrefaction is also a heavy crust band from Ireland and a death metal band from Brazil.

Carlinhos Brown
Carlinhos Brown is a Brazilian musician from Salvador, Bahia. He took the surname Brown from the Black Panther, H. Rap Brown. His music is a mixture of Brazilian and rock and soul music. The music features heavy percussion rhythms and Caribbean and Afro-Brazilian-influenced musical styles.
