Birdpen

BirdPen are a British alternative rock band. They are Mike Bird, Dave Pen and James Livingston Seagull. They formed in 2004 and refuse to say where they actually come from. They refer to home as The Village, not revealing what exactly they mean by this. They refer to Bill Hicks and the music and movies of John Carpenter as their primary influences. The band released three EP’s, 1 in 54, Be Yourself and Fake Kid between 2004 and 2006, and in that time they have been wearing the black BirdPen uniform and playing across the UK and Europe with their 21st century Doom Groove show.

Mike Keneally

Michael Joseph Keneally (Born December 20, 1961) is an American musician.
Born in Long Island, New York, he moved to San Diego, California at an early age and has been a fixture on the local music scene there since 1985 when he formed the local cult band, Drop Control.
Although a well established musician in his own right, Keneally is probably most well known as former Frank Zappa "stunt guitarist" and a Zappa 1988 tour band member.

Singer

1, Singer challenges the norms with an automatic-writing songwriting technique involving all four members of Singer, giving the songs a lurching, lunching feel that is then topped with vocalese of similar inclination: everyone's involved, everyone's a singer. They harmonize, they atonalize, they take solo turns. This on top of double-guitars and a few moments of double-drums produces some thrillingly unpredictable songs — and live, they're brought across with a similarly four-headed approach that coalesces and then recedes into quasi-uncertainty, studded with bits of jangle, funk and drone.

Having recently completed recording their debut album in Austin, Texas with Chris "Frenchie" Smith (Jet, Trail Of The Dead, Dandy Warhols), they have returned home to join the Pixies on their Australian/New Zealand tour.
