One Car Pile-Up

One Car Pile-Up is a United Kingdom melodic punk band which formed in the Scunthorpe area in 1996. Chris Lonsdale was the bassist in local band Gan at the time, and approached Wes Wasley to form a new band. They wrote songs at Wes' house while thinking about other people to complete the line-up. Chris brought along Dave Clarke who was the singer in Gan and so the search was on for a drummer. After trying a couple of local people it was obvious they needed someone who could play fast, and Wes suggested Robin 'Towie' Tow who used to play in Mental Seizure with him...

Vex

There are eight artists by the name of Vex. 1) Vex hailed from South East London / north west kent area and formed in the very early eighties, the 'Sanctuary' 12" and 'It's no crime' on the Mortarhate compalation 'Who?What? Why?When?Where?' were their only releases.
Sanctuary was issued on Fight Back, a sublabel of Mortarhate, run by the people of Conflict. Vex also played gigs with Conflict, so they were more associated with the anarchist punk scene than the Batcave fair. But contrary to most anarcho-punk bands from that time, they were not influenced by CRASS or Conflict.

The White Coats

Young British band blending punk and progressive ska. Upbeat music with a new edge. www.thewhitecoats.co.uk The White Coats first formed in December 2006 for a school concert; James, Rich, Alex and Rob played in front of 100+ school kids hurling abuse... what a show... However this did not affect the enthusiastic quartet as much as it probably should have, as after a month of practicing and writing, the group coughed up a setlist consisting of several lifeless 'pop-punk' songs and two 'Goldfinger' covers.
