DEVolution

1) DEVolution are a garage/dub duo consisting of Pete Devereux (Ex-Artful Dodger) and former Size Records artist Tom Devos. The DEVolution duo are writing, producing and playing music which can generally be described as in the dubstep genre, but which they call "Embrace the Bass". The Sorrows

The Sorrows are considered perhaps to be the archetypal "Freakbeat" band. Formed in 1963 in Coventry, England, they released their first album "Take a Heart" in 1965 on the Piccadilly Records label which was a subsidiary of Pye Records. The Sorrows were at the time the hardest, most aggressive and contemporary R&B band of that time, although later this brand of music was eventually termed "Freakbeat".

Emily's Army

The Fuzztones

The Fuzztones are a garage rock revival band formed in the 1980s, playing straight into the 1990s and now. Founded by singer-guitarist Rudi Protrudi in New York City in 1981, the band has gone through several member changes but is currently active in Europe. Dismissed by some critics and listeners as a "bar band" or unoriginal - and even plagaristic - they maintained a strong fan base in New York, in Europe and in Los Angeles, where Rudi would move in 1987 after the breakup of the original band, to organize a new Fuzztones.

Desto

Desto is a Helsinki-based electronic music artist and DJ. His music mainly draws from dubstep, hiphop, 2-step garage, jungle, computer games and 90's Warp label stuff. Since 2008 he has released 12" singles and EPs on labels such as Ramp Recordings, Noppa and Argon Records and gained support from DJs such as Blackdown (Rinse FM, Pitchfork, UK) and Oneman (Rinse FM, 502 Records, UK). Desto runs two dubstep nights, "Slam It!" and "Theory" in Helsinki with colleagues Dead-O and Tes La Rok and has a bi-weekly radio show on Finnish FM station Basso Radio with Tes La Rok.
