Evoken

Evoken is a funeral doom metal band from Lyndhurst, New Jersey, USA, one of the earliest U.S. doom/death metal bands that are still active today along with Novembers Doom and Rigor Sardonicous. Evoken are highly inspired by the Australian band Disembowelment. The band name Evoken is taken from the Thergothon song found on Fhtagn-nagh Yog-Sothoth. The band was founded by guitarist Nick Orlando and bassist Rob Robichaud under the name Funereus in April of 1992 and released a demo which sonds like extremely slow, dark brutal death metal with super deep growls.

Ophis

Ophis (greek for "serpent" or "snake"), began its lurking career in Hamburg, Germany, way back in the year 2000 as a solo-project of Rain of Ashes drummer Philipp as an outlet for his emotional downs and his deep love for depressing doom metal and death metal sounds. After this embryonic phase, Ophis grew to a full band in late 2001 with the line-up of Philipp on vocals and guitar, Fred on guitar, Johannes on bass and Richard on drums, but split up only after a few months without having played live or having anything released. Hooded Menace

www.myspace.com/hoodedmenace Hooded Menace is a death-doom metal band that formed in Joensuu, Finland, in 2007. It all started in June of 2007 when three doom/death -loving freaks got together to jam some Candlemass cover songs but using old school death metal style vocals instead. They were having so much fun that they decided to start writing their own material, very much influenced by the first Cathedral album, Winter, and Asphyx.

Ansia

There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Mexican independent band, dark sounds, deep lyrics, great voice. 2) Ansia project was born in Italy due to the will of finding new sounds into the doom scene. The lineup started with Ruben (drums), Steven (guitars) and Ethere (vocals, bass, synth). In the spring of 2006 they begun working in their music, and after a few months the songs I, II, and III were finished, then mixed by Alessio Fagrelli (ex-session keyboards for Deinonychus), who also plays piano on the song I.
