Invocal

Invocal are a four piece female acoustic band that perform with cello, guitar, clarinet and four harmonious voices - described as having dark gypsy folk tugging from one side and an all out west end musical tugging from the other. Their songs tell tales of modern life - with caustic and bawdy humour, powerful and moving lyrics and (most days) expert musical prowess. The band have performed together for the past 3 years, and have recently completed their first major UK tour.

With both feet firmly entrenched in the American tradition of melodic punk, pop and metal, Her Bright Skies have developed a way to lift themselves out of small town boredom all the while creating their own niche: energetic rock conveyed with a touch of that indefinable...

Drowners

Hometown: New York. Band lineup: Matt Hitt (vocals, guitar), Jack Ridley (guitar), Erik Snyder (bass), and David Rubin (drums). We can't tell yet if Drowners are a typical New York band or a typical London one. They're said by some to be part of the ongoing Britpop renaissance (Blur and Pulp reforming, new bands like Blackeye forming), but really they have more in common with the early-noughties CBGBs revival.
