The Dirt Daubers

Colonel JD Wilkes (The Legendary Shack Shakers) and his wife Jessica, along with “Slow” Layne Hendrickson, make up the hillbilly/hokum trio The Dirt Daubers. Based in Paducah, Kentucky, the trio brings to the table an ecclectic mix of Appalachian, ragtime, and hot jazz standards and original music. Several Legendary Shack Shakers tracks are covered by the band also.

Tinker Jack

Tinker Jack are a truly delightful band, that effortlessly entertain the myriad folks who aren't content to follow fleeting musical fashions, but take delight in discovering mystic melodies through a range of older and, at times, slightly odd influences, to arrive at something both refreshing and familiar. For this reviewer its both charming, and oh so lovely.-www.bedfordesquires.co.uk

Hank Dogs

Hank Dogs, this unusual trio from South London, have had a remarkable connection with large swaths of the acoustic indie scene in America, (particularly the Northwest and the Delaware Valley). Producer Joe Boyd said they remind him of the chills he got when he first heard Nick Drake’s demos 30 years earlier. That’s why he signed them to Hannibal. On Half Smile (2002), they list four members, though one of them is not old enough to play in the band yet, so she is listed as "love and inspiration.

Cow Parade Cow

Cow Parade Cow began as the solo recording project of 22 year old Mike Litton, born from the thriving Perth music scene in Western Australia. His first release was the full album-length "To the North" (2010) which was initially only intended as a collection of CD-Rs to be shared among friends. However, after a series of international blogs stumbled across the bandcamp website, a larger audience was found.

Shearwater

Shearwater was formed by two bandmembers of Austin, TX's Okkervil River. Band members today include Jonathan Meiburg, Thor Harris, Kim Burke, Jordan Geiger, and Kevin Schneider. To date, Shearwater has released five full-length albums, 'The Dissolving Room', 'Everybody Makes Mistakes', 'Winged Life'...

Papermoons

Houston duo Matt Clark and Daniel Hawkins are Papermoons and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind being referred to as beautiful, winsome, front-porch folk rock. It’s the stuff of reflective midnight drives or lazy summer afternoons collapsing under the inevitable weight of dusk. The band’s debut four-song 7” (featuring artwork by jacob calle) was released July 1st on Team Science Records. The record has since been met with critical acclaim.

The Cruel Sea

The Cruel Sea is a multi-ARIA Award winning 90s Australian rock/blues outfit. Originally an instrumental band focused on surf sounds, the addition of vocalist Tex Perkins (also a member of The Beasts Of Bourbon and a solo artist) proved an inspired decision. Combining the charismatic Perkins with the highly talented musicians created an unstoppable force through much of the 90s. Members of the band continue to perform, though with the exception of Perkins, most activity is fairly low key.
