Frank Martin

Frank Martin (15 September 1890 – 21 November 1974) was a Swiss composer, who lived a large part of his life in the Netherlands. He was born in Geneva, the tenth and last child of Charles Martin, a pastor. Before he started school, he was already playing the piano and improvising. At nine, he was composing complete, fully formed songs, without having had any instruction in song forms or harmony. A performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion which he heard at the age of twelve left upon him an ineradicable impression, and Bach became his true master.

He began piano lessons at an early age and continued through to his teens where piano gave way to guitar.

Rider Where The Trees Are Low

Rider Where The Trees Are Low is singer/songwriter Jan Thiede from Marburg, Germany. Although various theories have been proposed to unveil the origin of this alias it remains as strange as some of his songs. Their comlicated names and structures reflect influences of progressive rock but the music itself is mostly straightforward - a gentle voice accompanied by acoustic guitars. Have you ever thought about the stories behind the faces on the bus? Have you ever seen trees with eyes in the forest? Did you ever stand hung over in an unknown kitchen...

Tupiniquin

Para Portugues ver abaixo Tupiniquin - from the English Oxford dictionary means simply: a Brazilian. Made in São Paulo his debut album dares sharing a diverse array of sounds out of the largest cultural urban centre in the southern hemisphere. Like different races and tastes, colors and textures present in his city...
