This dynamic 3 piece have found new guts n new glory with a re-invention of their unique brand of balls to the wall indie rock.
The northerners’ claimed the coveted title of ‘Hotpress Band of the Year’. This was the culmination of a year which saw the band gig the length and breadth of Ireland, with regular appearances in Belfast, Derry, Sligo,Dublin, Galway, Cork as well as a self financed tour of Scandinavia.

Director

Hailing from Malahide in County Dublin, Director are Michael Moloney (Vocals/Guitar), Eoin Aherne (Guitar), Shea Lawlor (Drums) and Rowan Averill (Bass). Taking their musical cues from their early encounters with the classic songwriting of The Beatles, Steely Dan and Randy Newman, Director cite Beck, Grandaddy, Muse and The Strokes, as some of their modern day influences. Director's debut single, "Reconnect" was released in Ireland and the UK on April 26, 2006. The single stayed in the Irish charts for 12 weeks peaking at number 10.

Blackwater

Blackwater may refer to at least 3 artists:
1) a French group of Celtic music caracterized for its energic sound and accurate control over the instruments. Inspired by bands like Kataklysm, Hate Eternal, Bloodbath, Behemoth etc... 3) A London-based classic rock band comprising Tommy Balaam (vocals/guitar), George McKenzie (Guitar), Rory Murphy (Vocals/bass) and Bryce Dunn (Drums).

Aslan

There are two bands with the name Aslan. The first is Aslan, is a a rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in the mid-late 80's. The band features Christy Dignam (Vocals), Joe Jewel (Guitar), Tony McGuinness (Bass), Billy McGuinness (Harmonica, Keyboards, Percussion, Guitar) and Alan Downey (drums). Over the course of their career Aslan have played many different styles of music, ranging from pop, acoustic rock, rock etc. The band are also known as one of the hardest working bands in Ireland, playing (generally) at least one gig a week.

There are two artists with the name Alarmist. 1. A multi-instrumental four-piece from Dublin, Ireland (active from 2008 to present.) 2. A noise rock 4 piece from Portland, Oregon. (Active from 2003 to 2005.) 1. Alarmist are an instrumental four-piece from Dublin, Ireland who formed in 2008. They are Neil Crowley, Elis Czerniak, Osgar Dukes and Barry O'Halpin. All members are multi-instrumentalists, playing an equal role in bringing together the organic and electronic elements that form their sound.

Here Be Dragons are regarded as one of the foremost folk rock bands emanating from Wales. Their live shows have had crowds dancing and partying in festivals and venues all across Europe and in the USA. Here Be Dragons have supported many of the top names in World/folk music - The Young Dubliners (USA/Ireland), Carlos Nuñes (Spain), The Oysterband (England), Flook (Ireland) and Yo Yo Mundi (Italy). They have appeared on television in Wales, internationally on cable and enjoyed radio support across Europe as well as in Australia and the USA.

Scottish Fiddle Orchestra

The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra is one of Scotland’s foremost traditional music organisations. The Orchestra was formed in 1980, deriving its origins from Fiddlers’ Rallies which were – and are – held throughout Scotland. After one of these Rallies, a group of enthusiasts met to consider the formation of an orchestra which would draw its members from “a’ the airts” and would form a cohesive, vigorously rehearsed group of musicians.
