JJUUJJUU

JJUUJJUU is an astral union, an arcane ritual, and above all, a conversation.
Harnessing an unspoken energy, the pairing of Andrew Clinco (Incan Abraham, DRAB MAJESTY) and Phil Pirrone (A Static Lullaby, Casket Salesmen) have exponentially blossomed from a sonic experiment to a forceful, telepathic dialogue of distinct-but-aligned vibrations. Releasing this dynamic on an expanding spiral of planned and impromptu live shows in the American southwest, the magnetism of the duo only continues to grow, along with its devoted, traveling coterie of entranced acolytes.

Mister Lies

Mister Lies is the product of dorm-room insomnia, the development of a family of friends in a city of strangers under altered states and the feeling of homesickness for places where one only feels homesick. It is also the operational alias for a 20-year-old producer, multi-instrumentalist and feral child who was raised by wolves in the forests of a Connecticut suburb. Somewhere down the road, those winds whisked him away and dropped him off in Chicago.

Pekko Kappi

"Hello and welcome!
I, Pekko, am a player of Jouhikko – the ancient Finnish-Karelian bowed lyre. My music has been described like this: "In his hands the rough sound of weaved horsehair strings are swaying between the foul and lovely – dirty and pure. The old songs of unwritten tradition, timeless and dark stories mediates in his mouth."
I got involved with the Jouhikko in 1997 in the Ala-K

Hati

There are at least two bands named Hati: 1. Polish musical project based on acoustic instrument sounding.
The instruments they use are acoustic, namely traditional (ethnic) acoustic instruments and hand-made instruments or objects not necessarily meant for creating music, which produce interesting sounds. The instruments are made of metal, wood, leather and stone. They also use electronic equipment. The keywords are: trance, rhythm and sound. Website: http://www.hati.info 2. German black metal band, date of forming unknown.

windings

The Space I Occupy/ The Hassle” is the new double A-sided 7” Single from windings, on Out On A Limb Records. Contained within this new release are two very different sides of the always eclectic windings, one part paranoid cowbell boppin’ rant, and the other, an existential lament complete with kids’ choir. Both songs show the band flexing their musical muscles in ways they have perhaps refrained from thus far.
