Hoax

1) Hoax was a German Screamo band, which existed from 2001 until 2005. They formed as a fun punk project but soon turned more progressive. They released their first 8 track-EP "Cell the Kids" in 2004. Shortly before their recordings for the second album, they split up because of internal discrepancies. The members quickly gained ground again and founded the bands Abe Kamui and Nausea. 2) One artist using the Hoax alias is Julian Cox, Drum & Bass artist from the UK. Prolific in the '90s on Rob Playford's Moving Shadow label and sub label Audio Couture.

The Whisky Works

The Whisky Works are a post-hardcore Five Piece based in Glasgow. Having played alongside the likes of Jeniferever, Sons And Daughters, Sucioperro, Meet Me In St Louis, Tubelord and Blakfish; they are gaining much respect and praise for what they do. The Whisky Works’ debut mini-album ‘Deficit Attention Program’ was mastered by Iain Cook of Aereogramme, has had its official release date delayed through external interest to distribute and promote the record (for anyone keen to purchase the mini-album before its official release, it is available at shows).

Panic

There are several artists with the name 'PANIC': A) from Boston, USA; B) from Amsterdam , Netherlands; C) from Brasil; D) from Seatlle, USA; E) from Nottingham, UK ; F) from Korea; G) from The Netherlands.

A) A Boston Hardcore band who formed in 2000 featuring members of bands such as the Trouble, In My Eyes, American Nightmare, and the Explosion. They released two EPs for Bridge 9 Records. They had a period of inactivity for a couple of years, until resurfacing in early 2006 to play a few shows on the east coast.

Smegma

There are several bands under the name Smegma: a noise/free music band currently based Portland, OR., a German skinhead band which called their style of music "Schrammel Oi!", a Dutch grindcore band who shared a split EP with Agathocles in 1991, and more. The picture is Portland's version of Smegma. The songs are (obviously) mostly not. Smegma is an American experimental noise group formed in Pasadena, California in 1973 by Ju Suk Reet Meate and several others and is currently based in Portland, Oregon.

Astoria (Orange, Ca) Formed in 2001 and released their only EP "Start Again." Its original memebers have gone on to form such bands as The Color Turning, Jamison Parker, and now lead singer Alex Hovis is fronting Paper Models. He joined up with ex-JamisonParker members Ted Vega and Jarrod Alexander and ex-Home Grown guitarist Dan Hammond to form Paper Models in 2005. (2.)------------------------

Radio Stars

Formed in the Seventies, and disbanded before the end of that decade for dental reasons, Radio Stars emerged from the tail-end of glam to seize the punk reins with abandon, albeit without the po-faced rigidity of their peers. Writer/bassist Martin Gordon was in Sparks during the Kimono My House era, and then formed Jet with former John’s Children singer Andy Ellison.
