Melodic Death Metal

Pantokrator was an christian band formed in autumn 1996. A number of demos were made, but it was not until 2001 - when the band released their self-financed EP "Songs of Solomon" - that things started to move. In march the same year Pantokrator made an appreciated concert at the Swedish "Bobfest" festival. They also appeared on national TV in a short report from this festival. Two wears later, Pantokrator was back at the same festival, this time to release their debut album - "Blod" (Rivel records).

After two demo cds (“Shades of Duality” in 1999 and, mainly, “Love Injuring Criteria” in 2001, recorded at the Outer Sound Studios in Rome with Giuseppe Orlando and Massimiliano Pagliuso of Novembre) EDENShADE were aimed by the press and the fans to be one of the most promising bands of the Italian underground metal scene. Cromlech was a Melodic Death Metal band in the vein of Eucharist's A Velvet Creation but continued to build on their own sound to develop their own brand of Melodic Death with their following Promo and then last EP, The Vulture Tones. The sound exhibitied in those two releases after "And Darkness Fell" (1996) was much more elaborate now mixing in more elements of straight death metal as well as hints of black metal.

There are at least four artists with the name Elegy: 1. Elegy are a progressive metal/power metal band from the Netherlands. They formed in 1986. 2. Elegy were a supposedly German Krautrock Band which were actually from Britain but were pretty much based full-time in Austria. They released the single "No Direction / Pain" in early 1971 which was recorded at the studios of Peter Mueller, Vienna. The A-Side "No Direction" was compiled on "Kraut! Demons! Kraut! Vol. 1 German Psychedelic Underground 1968-1974".
