Make it work with what you've got. 2 Guitars, a junkyard drum kit (harvested from an actual garbage heap- adorned with tamborines, flowers and kitchen rags), a handful of harmonicas, voices, and above all.. songs. Cary Ann Hearst & Michael Trent prefer to keep it simple. They have cleverly managed to take 3 separate recording projects and combine them into 1 cohesive, folk rock, sloppy tonk, harmonized, loose but tight, streamlined audience killing machine.

Mojave 3

Mojave 3 are a dream pop/folk band which formed in Reading, England in 1993. The band consists of Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar, bass), Simon Rowe (guitar), Alan Forrester (organ, vocals), and Ian McCutcheon (drums). Goswell, Halstead and McCutcheon were previously members of the shoegaze band Slowdive. The band initially existed as a trio consisting of Halstead, Goswell, and McCutcheon (hence the "3" in their name).

Darius Rucker

Darius Rucker (born May 13, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina[1]) is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the American rock band Hootie & The Blowfish, of which he has been a member since the band's inception in 1989. Along with his work in Hootie & The Blowfish, Rucker recorded one studio album, entitled Back to Then, on Hidden Beach Recordings in 2002. In 2008, he signed to Capitol Nashville and charted his first solo single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It", the first single from his first country album Learn To Live.

Brantley Gilbert (born january 20 1985 ), is an American country rock music singer-songwriter. He has released two albums, both on the Average Joe's Entertainment Group label. His songs have also been recorded by Colt Ford and Jason Aldean. In February 2011, he left Average Joe's label to join Valory Music Group, where he has charted "Country Must Be Country Wide". A deluxe edition of Halfway to Heaven was released on September 13, 2011, two months before "Country Must Be Country Wide" reached number one on the Hot Country Songs charts.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Petra is a Christian Rock band formed in 1972 by Bob Hartman, Bill Glover, John DeGroff, and Greg Hough. "Petra" means "rock" in NT Greek, making the band name a triple pun. Rising from the jesus music movement, and initially signed to Myrrh Records, they fought to gain acceptance and recognition in a church culture that at the time believed rock music to be off-limits.

Plainsong

Plainsong was formed by Ian Matthews (previously in Fairport Convention) in 1972 with Andy Roberts, Bob Ronga, and Dave Richards. In Search of Amelia Earhart was released the same year with relatively poor sales. However the critical response was largley positive. Their follow-up, Plainsong III was more country orientated. During its production, Ronga quit and Matthews and Richards were unable to agree on future direction. They disbanded before the album's completion. Iain Matthews

Iain Matthews ( also popularly known as Ian Matthews ) has had a long singing career dating from the swinging 1960's, where he released material as the vocalist of Pyramid. He later joined Fairport Convention, and went on to have a long and winding career, sailing through trends in rock, pop, country and folk with some chart success and maintaining a continuous cult following since his commercial peak in the late 1970's.

Michael Nesmith

Robert Michael Nesmith (b. December 30, 1942) in Harris County, Texas, is an American musician, songwriter, actor, producer, novelist, businessman, and philanthropist, perhaps best known for his time in the musical group The Monkees and on the TV series of the same name. Michael Nesmith is also notable as a hit songwriter, including "Different Drum" sung by Linda Ronstadt with the Stone Poneys, as well as executive producer of the cult film Repo Man. Nesmith also holds the honor of winning the first Grammy Award (1981) given for Video of the Year for his hour-long Elephant Parts.
