Hang The Bastard

‘’When cerebral circulation is severely compromised by any mechanism, arterial or venous, death occurs over four or more minutes from cerebral hypoxia, although the heart may continue to beat for some period after the brain can no longer be resuscitated. The time of death in such cases is a matter of convention...’’ Hang The Bastard was formed in the Summer of 2007 by Chris and Sam, previously of 'On The Attack', with the idea to create something completely new and different.
Influences of hardcore, old school rock and doom meant there was never one specific genre to follow – no rules!

Witchsorrow

Doom metal is an obsession, and from this obsession by three doom fanatics – guitarist Necroskull (formerly of Mfkzt), bassist Emily Witch and drummer Morrellhammer (also a member of Koresh) – was conjured Witchsorrow to continue the work of their forebears in proudly holding aloft the flag for super heavy true doom metal. Worshipping the almighty sounds of Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, Candlemass and their doomed brethren at Black Sabbath’s Pagan Altar...

Remote

Following the success of Chloé’s The Waiting Room, the label Kill The DJ continues to redefine a certain idea of electro music with the long-awaited release of the first album by REMOTE, aka Seb Fouble & Eric Guillanton. 2000-2003: the post-French touch period, everybody is on the look out for something new, and that something new is somewhere out there on vinyl. Seb & Eric release their first maxi as Joe Zas & Co. on Pamplemousse. Then another, this a really important record, a witness to its time: Astroglide, considered as one of the best maxis in 2003 by the press and DJs alike.

Stitched Vision

Stitched Vision is the project of Jason Campbell, formed in 2009, once global roamer now fringe-dwelling citizen of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. His pedal-heavy synthscapes are neither nostalgic nor futuristic, but rather channel the current plight of his city of residence, unfolding as explorations of urban decay and cultural regeneration. Understated melodies sheathed in - pitting the organic against the - mark Campbell's work and come to symbolise Newcastle

Artist Type:

Walls

There are two bands with the name Walls: 1.) Featuring 3/4 of the final Cold Sweat lineup (and for that matter, one-half of Iron Lung), as well as the vocalist from Negative Step and Society Of Friends, Walls' self-titled LP serves as an expansion of their self-released 7" issued earlier this year. Indeed it is filled with a wider array of lurching rhythms, atonal riffs, and angry, stream-of-consciousness vocals, that, in the parlance of our times, "pick up where they left off".

The Welcome Committee

The Welcome Committee cannot really figure out how to use last. fm, but that's ok. Hopefully someone will read this, take pity on them and then give them some sort of idea about how to link the songs they have uploaded to this page. Rest assured, The Welcome Committee are not holding their breath.
They are tired and their eyes are stinging. Their songs sound to them much like something they did that they don't remember; they are distant and dislocated. They have many, many songs to record but lack the inclination to do much about it.

Artist Type:

Manatees

After the dissolution of Lockjaw signing, Second To Last, three former members, Greg Wynne, Alex Macarte and Paul Heron, reconvened and Manatees came into being. Having abandoned the musical direction of their previous band, they plummeted into a percussion focused prog-drone onslaught. The band cite many influences, from Neurosis to Pink Floyd, but never fall into the trap of replicating their idols, delivering a fresh, stunningly powerful sound.
