The Rivals

As always, there seems to be more than one group with a name like this 1)The Rivals were a UK punk band from Ramsgate, in existence from 1976-1981. Originally formed by childhood friends Mark Edwards (guitar, vocals) and Paul Leinster (bass, vocals), they soon added Mark Hebden (drums). The most well known lineup for the band, and the one that produced the vast majority of music that you can find from them, came about when Hebden left the band, to be replaced by Paul Daley on drums.

The White Electric formed in 2008 and consists of Lachlan Scott (Electronic Discharge) and Sally Whiteman.
With their powers combined, The White Electric intends to stomp out some genre breaking Acid-Electro-Hip-Hop-Rock tracks.
The White Electric are currently in the studio cranking hard towards to complete their set of all original tunes to begin performing live in early 2009.With the ability to cut tracks faster than an emos forearm, stay tuned for much more music to come!

The Springfields

There are two artists named The Springfields. 1. The Springfields were a British pop-folk vocal trio in the early 1960s, who had success both in the UK, USA and Ireland, but are now best remembered as the launch pad for singer Dusty Springfield. The trio formed in 1960, when Mary "Dusty" O’Brien joined her brother Dion O'Brien and Tim Feild, who had been working as a duo,"The Kensington Squares". Dion became Tom Springfield, and Mary became Dusty Springfield. Feild was later replaced by Mike Hurst.

Elena Gheorghe

Elena Gheorghe is a Romanian singer. She will represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. Her breakthrough came in 2003; one of her most notable music singles is "Te Ador". Elena is half Aromanian, and half Romanian.She has a sister named Ana who is a journalist, and a brother, Costin. Her mother Marioara Man Gheorghe is a singer, and is the one who inspired her love for music. When Elena was 3 years old she debuted on the music scene with her mother.

The Big Dish

The Big Dish were a Scottish pop/rock band formed in Airdrie, Scotland in 1983. The band initially comprised Steven Lindsay (vocals/guitar), Mark Ryce (guitar) and John Harper (keyboards). The trio was subsequently augmented on stage by Raymond Docherty (bass) and Keith Burns (drums). Early support slots with Lloyd Cole helped them to find a wider audience. By the time their debut album ‘Swimmer’ was finally completed and released on Virgin Records in 1986 the line-up had undergone notable changes...
