The Gonads

The Gonads first formed in 1976 out of the remnants of Pink Tent, a seriously nutty group of teenage rock and Monty Python fans with situationist ideas above their station. We got together at school in Lee, South East London in 1970 and sstarted writing comedy sketches, then graduated into a sub-Dr Feelgood boogie band playing mate’s houses, parties and pubs. There were a few Gumbie-inspired street happenings outside the Tigers Head which are best forgotten.

Cock Sparrer

One of the first Oi! bands, Cock Sparrer was playing loud, raw, Cockney working-class anthems as early as the first wave of British punk, although record company difficulties prevented them from issuing much material until the early '80s, when the Oi!movement was well underway. The group formed in London's East End in 1975, originally as a hard-edged pub rock combo in the vein of Dr. Feelgood. Four of the members -- vocalist Colin McFaull, guitarist Mick Beaufoy, bassist Steve Burgess, and drummer Steve Bruce -- had been schoolmates since age 11...

The Negatives

There are two artists called the Negatives. 1. The Negatives from Bradford(UK) formed in 1978. Realsing there single "Love is not real" one of John Peels favourites. They have been on and off since they started. Recently The original and only drummer who has been there since the start Tino, Decided to leave the band. Leaving Rik(Guitar/Vocals) and Toni(Bass/Vocals) to get a new drummer. Still coming strong in 2008 with underground gigs happening all over the UK.

Splodgenessabounds

Splodgenessabounds is a British punk rock band, associated with the Oi! and Punk Pathetique genres. Their frontman is Max Splodge. The band is best known for their 1980 track, "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps", coining a phrase that lent its name to a BBC sitcom. Peculiarly, the song was the B side of a single. The less-popular A side was "Simon Templar", a souped-up version of the theme tune of the ITV TV series, The Saint.

Major Accident

Major Accident is a UK '82 punk band. They are from Darlington, England. They have an influence in the A Clockwork Orange appearance. They go back to 1977 when they wanted to start to form a band, however did not record 'til early 80's.
The band went through several line up changes but brothers Con and Paul Larkin have been with them through all. 1977 - 1985 and 1996 - 2000. Other long term members include Dave Hammond (guitar), Laze (drums) and Ian Timms (guitar).

Perkele

There are 2 artists under this name;
1.Perkele started in late 1993. by four guys, Ron vocals and guitar, Jonsson drums, Olof Bass and Anders Guitar. Perkele recorded the first demo tape ”Nu får det vara nog” in the beginning of 94 and next one ”Det växande hatet” in late 94, the band did so many gigs that they became a well known punk band in their hometown, the sound was back in the days very fast punk with Swedish folk music influences a sound that you still can hear even today. After a while Anders got tired of playing music and left the band and Perkele became a three member band.

Red Alert

1) Oi! band formed in Sunderland around May of 1979. The original line up was: Steve "Cast Iron" Smith (vocals), Tony Van Frater (Guitar), Gaz Stuart (bass) and Dona (drums). Self released a four track EP entitled "Third And Final," which had been their demo, in an edition of 250 copies. This EP was re-released in the mid 90s as "Border Guards" on Combat Rock.
Then recorded two tracks for the "Carry On Oi!" album. Only one, "SPG," would actually appear on the compilation though.
