Magma rise was founded in June 2009 by members or former members of Hungarian underground band Mood,(definitive doom metal band 1993-2001, released 4 albums played something like 400 gigs, also in support of Anathema, U.D.O.,Spirit Caravan, Crowbar etc…) Wall of sleep, (2001- released 4 albums,on Psychedoomelic Records and I Hate Records played, Doom shall rise festival/Germany in 2003,Stoned from the underground festival /Germany, supported bands like for example Darkest hour,Trouble...

There are three bands with the name Lowrider. 1) Emerging onto the Adelaide music scene in late 2003, the foursome met through the city's tight knit music community after playing in different bands. Brothers Paul and John Bartlett aka Papa John and Mr Cee, teamed with Scott Duncan aka Scotty D and Joe Braithwaite to form Lowrider. Their distinct sound has been developed organically drawing from very diverse influences including Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, The Roots, Mos Def and Erykah Badu.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Los Angeles based trio Nebula, comprised of Eddie Glass (Guitar/Vocals), English geezer Tom Davies (Bass/Vocals) & Rob Oswald (Drums). It all started when Eddie & friend Neil Blender were making weird 4 track music for skate movies like Alien Workshop's first video. He then went on to drum for Olivelawn and later on played guitar with Fu Manchu, writing some of the songs and playing lead guitar on the first three albums.
