Blood or Whiskey formed in Kildare (IE) in 1995 as an irish folk / punk crossover band, similar to The Pogues. Their first two albums were also heavily influenced by them. In 2003 lead singer Barney Murray left the band. Vocal duties were taken over by guitarist Dugs Mulhooly. Untill 2005 they underwent alot of line up changes, leaving Dugs and Chris (drums) as the only original member. In 2005 they released their third album "Cashed Out On Culture", which had more of a punk-edge than their former two.

Greenland Whalefishers started out in Bergen Norway in 1994, long before anyone had heard of bands like Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphys. Combining british punk with celtic folk influences, the band soon became one of the most interesting post-pogues bands . Almost two decades of touring all around the world, releasing seven full length albums, piles of singles and EPs and an uncountable number of split-releases, contributing with music to the movie

Swingin' Utters is an American punk rock band that formed in the late 1980s. Having begun in Santa Cruz, California, the band moved to San Francisco where they are now based. They have been signed to Fat Wreck Chords since 1996. As well as being classed as a "punk revival" band (reminiscent of British 1970s bands such as Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, Sham 69 and Eddie & The Hot Rods), Swingin' Utters have increasingly shown themselves to be influenced by Irish folk, particularly The Pogues.
