The Barr Brothers
Best known as founding members of the spirited and unpredictable rock trio The Slip, brothers Andrew and Brad Barr had spent most of the 90s criss-crossing North America. In the spring of 2004, the band was playing a small club in Montreal, QC when a fire broke out in the venue. They grabbed a few guitars/drums and rushed out onto the rainy street with the rest of the concert goers. As the club's mezzanine was swallowed by flames, Andrew offered his coat to one of the waitresses from the bar. One year later, Brad and Andrew Barr were living in Montreal.
hunz
Hunz is a three-piece electronic pop band, spearheaded by Brisbane-based electronic musician and producer, Hans Van Vliet. With a background in music programming and motion design, Hans pulls his notes out of a binary soup of ones and zeroes, hand-crafting synth patches and beats from scratch. The result is a mix of pulsating, glitchy electronics and ethereal vocals that hint at the sinister, but succumb to the pleasure of pop hooks instead.
Benjamin Wetherill
With a Coward-esque warble and a precise and deliberate manner Benjamin Wetherill cuts an unusual figure amongst his song-writing contemporaries, performing a romantic blend of darkened, spidery arch-folk and pre-war-swoon material. From folk crowds to indie and experimental audiences, over the past four years Benjamin has wooed listeners and made an ineffable impression on theUK underground music scene through a constant performance schedule and numerous, independently released recordings.

State Broadcasters
The State Broadcasters began as a song writing project in 2004 when songwriter Graeme Black met multi-instrumentalists Pete MacDonald. After some low key live performances the duo realised they enjoyed performing the songs themselves and began to piece together a full band. In the last year The State Broadcasters have developed into a formidable live band producing an original and eclectic brand of Americana folk pop.
