Acoustic upbeat post folk. Flynn’s first single for Vertigo is wonderfully lazy, acoustic guitar driven song that arrives on the back of live dates with Jack Penate. Vertigo Records are poised to release the debut album by 24 year old Johnny Flynn entitled 'A Larum', out 26th May. The new single, entitled 'Tickle Me Pink' proceeds the release on 19th May. 2007 was a hell of a year for Johnny Flynn having released a bunch of critically acclaimed singles (both on Young & Lost and his new home Vertigo)...

Jaymay

There are two artists that use the name Jaymay. 1) Jamie Seerman and 2) JayMay a Christian rapper. 1. Jamie Seerman is an American folk singer-songwriter from New York. She performs under the name Jaymay. She was raised on Long Island and in 2003, unable to find a job in book publishing, Jaymay began playing open mics. Her major musical influence is Bob Dylan. She has been described by the BBC as "darling of the New York 'Anti-Folk' scene", and by the New York Times as a "big name for the indie universe".

There are at least 4 artists using the name Cubs 1. cubs is a Sydney, Australia based electronic/acoustic duo formed in 1999. Comprising of Nick Wales (coda / alterboy) and dj Seymour Butz (stereogamous) They have releases on "Sauna Sessions" compilations and the "Club Kooky" discs. They have played at a variety of festivals, and even the Sydney Opera house. 2. Cubs is an instrumental freefolk project from the Irish Deserted Village collective. Using a variety of instruments, such as mandolin, whistle, guitar, wordless vocals, and guitar, Cubs weave an organic, relaxing sound.

Your Biggest Fanclub are a feisty three-piece about to explode in Wolverhampton. Combining the raucous riffs of Reuben with the pounding beats of We Are Scientists, their sound is hard to measure. Still in their late teens, they have already achieved support slots with Young Knives and Cheeky Cheeky and The Nosebleeds with up-coming support for the pigeon detectives, whilst also picking up Radio 1’s DJ Steve Lamacq’s “Band Of The Week” feature.

Adam Donen grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, the eldest child of prominent anti-apartheid activists. He delivered his first
poetry performance at age six, reciting works by William Blake and Samuel Taylor Coleridge to ANC freedom fighters inside
Polsmoor Maximum Security Prison. Much as everyone who heard the Sex Pistols' Manchester Free Trade Hall gig is said to have
started a band, so everyone who heard Adam would later become a cabinet minister: audience members included Tony and
Lumka Yengeni and Jennifer Schreiner. Adam began playing guitar a year later.

Tiffany Anders

Tiffany Anders started her recording career at the tender age of five singing and snickering on art rock band Monitor's record, which also included the Meat Puppets first release. It would be a little while before she would record again, doing background vocals for artists such as Dinosaur Jr., Mike Watt, and Mike Johnson. She first started playing guitar at 14, but it would be several years before she would put a band together to play the songs that she had been working on, finally settling on the name Hot White Noon.
