DJ Icon

DJ ICON, also known as Connie Wong, began her DJ career in 1996 at age 16 in San Francisco, California. She quickly rose in the ranks and created a name for herself in the underground, soon to break through the surface onto clubs, televisions, and radios across the globe. ICON was known as a trance DJ for the first half of her career but since 2001, she has immersed herself into breakbeats and almost exclusively plays Nu-Skool and Funky Breaks, a style she refers to as "Dirrty Breaks". However, when called upon, her versatility allows her to play all genres of electronic dance music.

Take

(For the Korean boy band, see 테이크.) There is more than one artist under this name: 1. Based in Los Angeles, Take (Sweatson Klank) is a composer who continues to push the boundaries of instrumental hip-hop music into new directions. After multiple successful EP's under his belt, Take finally unleashed his debut full length player in 2007, Earthtones and Concrete. This music is nothing short of an epic journey with continuously evolving collages that lead the listener down a dust covered road of bit-crushed melodies and molested jazz samples.
